Newlybird Surprise Party!

When Chad and I arrived at my parent's house for what was supposed to be a quiet spaghetti dinner, we instead found all of our closest friends and family there to surprise us with a newlywed party! They had been decorating for 24 hours and had been planning since the day after our wedding! Needless to say, it was an amazing surprise and a super fun weekend!

Climbing Mt. Yonah = Scrappy!

Went hiking this past weekend for the first time since girl scouts. Things I learned for next time:

Wear hiking boots instead of Vans.

Figure out a way down BEFORE you climb a huge boulder.

Don't wear a Cartersville T-shirt if you want to hide in the woods.

Eat ALL your sandwiches before the ladybugs do.

Brewniversity.

Chad is officially a beer snob! After three years, he's finally reached the 125 mark (bachelor status) on his Taco Mac beer passport. And what will he get for such an amazing accomplishment? A T-shirt, an engraved nameplate and, of course, a 20 oz. glass for every draft he orders until the end of time. Yep, that's four free ounces of beer and he's pretty excited about it. I'll just stick with my Bud Light.

and the gators win.

My love of cake decorating shows finally came to life yesterday during the Florida-Georgia football game. Being married to a GA fan isn't always easy, but we try to make it fun!
I decided to put my never-used-cake-decorating-tools to work and bake a Gator Cake - so I could rub it in Chad's face when we won (haha). The joke was on me when my cake just didn't turn out as perfect as I thought it would (they make it seem so easy on TV)! But it turned out delicious and even the GA fans ended up stuffing their face with yummy Gator Cake!!

best day ever.

Some of my best memories are of visiting Stef in Knoxville. My recent adventure up there included a polaroid quest full of scarf twinkies, guacamole dip and F.R.I.E.N.D.S. episodes. The bestest friend ever.

Congrats to two of our bestest friends getting engaged!! We love you Stef & Dunc!!

with sprinkles.

No matter what's going on in my life, cupcakes always make me happy! Especially with sprinkles. So I made some for my coworkers last night because they work SO hard! Tammy shot the remaining 4 cupcakes before they were DEVOURED!

Leonardo in Atlanta!

I love museums, I love friends and I love my husband...Oh, and did I mention I love da Vinci? We were only a sheet of glass away from original sketches and sculptures at the High and it was one of the best exhibits I've seen there. You know it's a great Saturday when you get to see Jeff AND a gigantic horse all in one day!!

The Honeymoon

Hi Everyone!
Due to technical difficulties, Chad and I will not be able to blog during our trip, but we will do an immediate update when we return on October 6th...so stay tuned! We were informed we would be able to upload photos and use our own laptops, but unfortunately we cannot. We look forward to sharing our trip with you!! Venice was amazing, but we're exhausted after 24 hours of traveling! See you soon...Meg & Chad!!
